Isfahan is Iran’s masterpiece, one of the finest cities in the Islamic world and the third-largest city in Iran. That’s why people call it “Half of the world”. Although It was the capital of Iran in a number of the post-Islamic periods, its golden age was during the Safavid dynasty. Furthermore, Isfahan has the greatest attractions for tourists. That’s because Isfahan is called the live open-air museum of Iran. In the late 16th century, Isfahan was flourished due to the will of “Shah Abbas the Great” and the trading skill of Armenian settlers. An outstanding heritage of Isfahan Armenian community is the 17th-century Vank Cathedral with its beautiful frescoes and a treasure of historical objects in its museums.
Isfahan city tour offers distinguished landmarks and discovers hidden secrets behind monuments facade. As a result, these places are “must-see”, if you have time just for one day. Due to the proximity of sites, the historical attractions will be visited by walking in the morning. First of all, We will commence the tour by visiting Chehelsotoun garden/palace which is on the UNESCO world heritage list. After visiting the palace, we will walk less than five minutes to reach the second biggest square in the world. There are four main attractions on the four sides of the square. Above all, Grand Bazaar of Isfahan which you see some of them located toward the square, but most of them in complex paths and passages. In the afternoon we will continue the tour by visiting the Armenian quarter and its Cathedral. Finally, the most beautiful bridge of Isfahan will terminate our tour.
